Visiting Rose Parade Floats

One of the things Southern California is famous for us the New Year’s Rose Parade. It’s held about 30 minutes from where I live. I’m waiting until my kids are old enough to appreciate the floats to actually take them to watch the parade live one day. For now, I can make do with viewing the floats. The floats are put out on display for two days after the parade airs for public viewing. So being the night shift mom I am I woke up on three hours of sleep to go with my sister to take my kids out to see the floats. It was totally worth it on my lack only sleep to celebrate the New Year and take pride in our community.  This was one of my favorite floats. A giant sand castle! Living in L.A you appreciate a cute replica of the forum.  This rabbit looks so life like! Who knew lentils could make a dolphin?!? The floats smelled so good up close with all the roses!
